Nova communicates through visuals, sound, lights, and haptics, personalizing to your preferences over time, and keeping your information secure.

Core four dot form should be preserved in each state. Surrounding tiny dots should orbit around the center core.

The different states should expand and take up more space horizontally than the original Nova footprint of 6 dots.

The underlying grid of dots are added and subtracted. Motion is implied via scaling and not axis movement on the dots.

Axis movement on the dots is reserved for highly active state actions (Thinking, Acting).

Motion system

The final guidelines consist of three core motion tenets influenced by the product attributes, four rules that define the AI agent's behavior, and reusable tokens for easing curves and durations. As the product scales, clients can easily achieve new goals by following these established patterns.

Process

Testing concepts

Two concepts were taken into user testing and ultimately merged to form Nova.

Combining the strengths of each and cutting what didn't resonate produced a more cohesive direction.

Final mark

Nova's signature mark draws on Aurora's warmth and Cipher's precision, balancing approachability with security.

Workshops

Over three weeks, we collaborated with our client point of contact visiting from Korea. Using artifacts like spectra, matrices, and image and attribute sorts, we built a clearer picture of the product goals.
